Bob Cesca has a new column up that starts with the following observation:
In other news, Vanity Fair scored the most subscriptions in a single day ever after despot-elect Donald Trump attacked them on Twitter over a critical review of Trump Grill.
A note for all the editors out there: attack Trump or his properties and he’ll reward you with free publicity. His narcissism demands it. This may actually be how we defeat Trumpism.
I've been stewing on much the same idea for the last couple of weeks. Right now a lot of political actors are stepping gingerly around Trump because they aren’t sure how to attack him. At the same time, a lot of Republicans are acting like he is coated in teflon because of how he beat the odds on November 8th.
But none of those void the facts that:
(1) He lost the popular vote margin by more than any other "winner" in U.S. history.
(2) He is coming into office with quite possibly the lowest ratings of a new President ever.
Trump is *very* unpopular. Getting on his bad side, far from being a death sentence, could actually be the best thing any of us could hope for. We should be spreading the word on this an encouraging people to get Trump upset with them.

I am reminded of the old Chevy Chase routine on the first season of SNL’s Weekend Update. He would always open the broadcast by saying, “Today’s Top Story: Generalismo Franciso Franko is still dead!”
Opposition reports from now until Trump is out of office should open with the following line:
“Our Top Story Tonight: Donald Trump lost the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes!”
